From the Pastor June 4, 2017

Dear Parishioners,

Happy and Blessed Feast Day of Pentecost!!! The Easter Season officially comes to an end this weekend, as we enter into “Ordinary Time.” As disciples of Jesus Christ, our lives are definitely not “ordinary”. In fact, we can say proudly that our lives are extraordinary because we follow Him, who died on the Cross and rose from the dead. The daily temptation for us Catholics is to simply live “ordinary” lives, but we are called to so much more than that. Through our Baptisms, we are called to live holy lives, lives that are set apart for God.  We are called to live sacrificial lives, both for God and for one another. We are called to live in such a way that others will see our good example and want to follow Jesus Christ themselves. We are called to live virtuous lives that help others onto salvation. This weekend let us ask the Holy Spirit to come into our lives in a deeper way so that we may live the extraordinary life that we are called to as followers of Jesus Christ. Come Holy Spirit!!! God Bless!
